Procrastination

Artist statement: My piece illustrates all the clutter and distraction that a person goes through when procrastinating. I wanted the colour palette to be overwhelming and almost obnoxious, embodying the stress and sensory overload that you experience when you leave tasks to the last minute. I selected the colour scheme to evoke a sense of nostalgia and youthfulness, as my procrastinating tendencies started in childhood. The piece is intended to be playful and enjoyable to look at on first glance, however, to also embody a sense of anxiety, chaos and claustrophobia.
