Weightless describes the image of a picturesque stretching sea and sky, paired with the warm glow of a suburban street. When you look closer, however, you see that the road is deserted and the encroaching waves loom over the buildings. This work aims to capture the weightlessness of escapism and the quiet creeping dread that can be felt even as you try to forget. At this point in time, I find I am often caught in this place, be it school, politics or climate change, I find myself looking up at the sky, at the streets, anywhere but those waves, trying not to see.
