Oil on canvas

This still life explores the themes of memory, time, and family. The painting depicts books, flowers, a vase, an icon, and a Soviet metal calendar. Many of these objects have outlived their original owners, becoming keepers of their memory. The calendar serves as the central symbol of the composition – a functional object that remains relevant despite the passage of time and the changing of generations. Over time, however, the painting itself will also become part of this story. By preserving these family objects on canvas, I create a new vessel of memory that will one day outlive me. In this way, the painting becomes a portal through time, connecting the past, present, and future.
