This piece symbolises numerous positive experiences. The subject matter is my girlfriend’s bedside table and is taken from a facetime picture. I wanted to encapsulate the warmth I associate with her house and the memories attached to the objects. The idiosyncratic nature of these features heightens the atmosphere. By obscuring some of the detail in these objects, a viewer can attach their own sentiments to the image and explore feelings of contentment.
