Artist statement: Being of Aboriginal descent, I wanted to express my love for the flora and fauna of my country through using a painting style from my cultural background. I wanted to show turtles moving freely in their natural environment with no distraction from humans. I think that every species of our environment should be protected and preserved. This is my message to everyone that I would like to share.
