Artist statement: My artwork is a scene of snow on Cradle Mountain in Northern Tasmania. I visited this landmark with my grandparents who now live in Tasmania, so my photograph holds fond memories. Acrylic paint was a medium I was not familiar with, so I chose it for this painting to expand my knowledge and challenge myself. I was pleased with the final work as it looked beautiful, like the real scene, and it still gives me those sentimental feelings when I look at it.
