Artist statement: This macro-botanical drawing explores the finest detail, line, shape, form and texture of a small piece of discarded foliage. This detailed and refined work renders the otherwise insignificant cast-off in almost sculptural form – the tiny leaves cupping and unfurling from its slender stem.
