My work explores childhood and growing up, capturing the fleeting nature of early life. Leading lines from the arm, flower, and bunnies weave the viewer’s gaze, while the daisy and rabbits symbolise innocence, curiosity, and simplicity. Bold pink and blue hues create visual contrast, with pastel tones evoking the whimsical mood of infancy. My self-portrait as a toddler wearing toy sunglasses expresses youthful playfulness. Inspired by Eugene Begarat, John Asaro, and Collin Page’s vibrant palettes and broad brushwork, I use expressive strokes to convey the energy of childhood. I hope to evoke nostalgia and reflection on their own childhood memories.
