When I was younger, I loved to watch my heat pack spin as it was warmed up in the microwave. The light, movement and sound was such a comfort to me, making me feel better on winter nights. My work captures the warm comforting glow of this memory, but with my current self as subject, in the same familiar pose from my childhood: waiting, entranced, by the microwave as it spins.
