‘Menagerie of Macarons’ is an acrylic painting on canvas exploring themes of appreciation and finding joy in the small moments in life. I find that, especially in our day it is easy to get lost in the big picture, and we tend to forget that it’s the little things that bring us the most joy. Macarons have always been a treat in my household, given on special occasions to celebrate achievements. Though a small detail of my growingly busy life, I find happiness in choosing my favourite flavour from the colourful box of treats my parents bring home. Using acrylic paint, I created my own vibrant collection of macarons, inviting viewers to reflect on their own simple pleasures in their own lives and perhaps choose a favourite macaron of their own
