I began by sketching the composition in pencil to plan the placement and proportions of the painting. I then applied a base coat before building layers of acrylic paint to create depth, texture, and smooth colour blending. I used layered brushstrokes and dabs, working from dark to light, to give the bushes texture and emphasise how the sunset illuminated parts of the landscape. My painting explores the quiet atmosphere of my street, with birds perched on power lines and a calm, peaceful environment. I exaggerated the rich orange tones of the sunset to enhance its warmth and create a stronger visual impact. The light pole is intentionally enlarged to become the focal point, drawing the viewer into the scene and creating a sense of closeness
