Pastel on board

120 x 90 cm

I enjoyed working with pastel as it has a similar feeling to charcoal. I used my fingers to blend colours together and to create an even skin tone. I chose an image of my friend as inspiration because I enjoyed her attitude. Her up-tilted chin was her attempt to stop laughing. This drawing reminds me of the fun of friendships and how important these relationships are in life.
