Mixed media – cardboard, wood, newspaper, modelling compound, acrylic paint

L64 x H36 x W29 cm

Having a dog can reduce our stress and improve our mood. I created my modelled dog by building an armature out of cardboard and wooden sticks. Crumpled newspaper was used to pad out and shape the head, body and legs, then papier mache applied with numerous layers of newspaper. Modelling compound was spread over the entire model and incised to create a furry texture, before being painted with acrylics.
