This is a busy street in China. In my artwork I used palette and tube watercolours, masking fluid and a white Posca pen for highlights, along with a wide selection of brushes. I tended towards muted and dull tones as well as adding the illusion of a smokey sky to better express the tired mood of this place. There was a red car in the centre of the image surrounded by tall buildings, so I made it into the relative centre of the painting by using darker tones.
