Artist statement: This piece was intended to convey playfulness, freshness and invigoration. The model’s relaxed expression and the somewhat whimsical quality of the situation help to convey this. It was designed to promote the purchase of an organic sports/protein drink and present the company as relaxed and friendly, and committed to freshness and customer satisfaction. The final image was composited from a number of shots of milk splashes. Aside from being well designed for commercial use, it’s an interesting image artistically and captures something of my model’s carefree and gentle personality.
