Artist statement: The eucalyptus tree is a defining feature of the Australian landscape, so common in fact that it rarely commands closer inspection. This macro-botanical drawing records the dense detail to be found up close on just one leaf alongside a slender branch of gum nuts and may prompt the viewer to seek a closer look at this iconic Australian tree.
