Artist statement: This painting is from our art camp to Rottnest Island. The flowers are Trachmene (Rottnest Island Daisy Blue) which I used to give focus and contrast to the foreground, the idea being to create a distinct foreground, midground and background. I feel I achieved this and love the natural blues and greens in the work. This was the first time I had painted with acrylics on canvas.
