Artist statement: The idea behind this photo was to capture an image of a highway with a light stream created by the cars passing. My intention was to suggest the high-speed society that we live in, where everything must be done at a rapid pace. The image was taken from a newly-built overpass overlooking a busy highway. My image shows what society would probably see as progress, creating a more efficient method of traversing through life. Viewers could also interpret the image based on their own daily experience of making their way home as the day draws to a close.
