Artist statement: My work is a celebration of the beauty of Australian Flora and Fauna. It captures a moment in time, where the audience gets to appreciate the colours, shapes, and textures reflected in nature and to slow down from their busy life and enjoy the process of careful observation. This is the same process that I went through in its creation: studying the plants and animals, layering colours with paint and embroidery.
