Artist statement: With an egg whisk, a dog lead, some steel wool and a lighter I created this long-exposure image. I attached the dog lead onto the steel wool-covered whisk, then lit the steel wool and spun it around in circles for 25 seconds. I created the image on a beach to preserve the calmness of the ocean and the different background colours of orange, aqua and dark blue. The steel wool stayed alight, though not very bright, but over 25 seconds it gathered the light into the centre location of the circle. My photograph was an in-camera composition, at 25 sec exposure, ISO:100, aperture: F.10 and 18mm focal length
