Immersed in Tranquillity

Artist statement: My artwork is formed from images of different forests and natural landscapes combined with a bit of imagination. A stream of water flows down the painting from the sea at the top of the picture plane to the refreshing lagoon at the bottom, creating a dynamic and spectacular centrepiece. This work was inspired by William Robinson’s paintings, which create a transfigured Australian landscape with multiple perspective points to immerse the viewer into the vast 360-degree environment. My painting attempts a similar thing, with the flowing water, vibrant colours and detail providing a feeling of tranquillity.
