Artist statement: Crimson. My recreation of the main protagonist from ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. This timeless tale has a certain place in my heart for its appearance in my childhood. It was the first book I had been able to read on my own. This sculpture began with rolling a 1 cm thick slab of paper clay rolled and modelled into a cylinder form then the details modelled and attached. The sculpture was then fired, stained and finished with a touch of red paint.
