Artist statement: This watercolour painting consists of several objects: tomatoes, a jar, a rubber duck and a teapot. It falls under the genre of still life as it portrays inanimate objects. I intended to communicate happy emotions. I achieved this through using bright and vibrant colours but in a delicate manner, along with child-like splatters in the background and an unusual placement of various objects.
