Artist statement: The qualities of the ocean, its unpredictability and chaotic vulnerability, drew me to it as a symbol of an individual’s personality and inner thoughts. Although at times wild and turbulent, the ocean holds a mysterious beauty. Its rhythmic, curving path around the land and the way it throws itself against the rocks of the shore are what gives it majesty and life.
