Artist statement: My studio work is inspired by the design concepts employed by Dutch artist MC Escher in his reflective works and by the mixed media techniques utilised by French artist Florian Nicolle in his expressive portrait illustrations. The concepts and emotions incorporated in my artwork depict how much football has had an impact on my life as a whole. I have attempted to show the joy and happiness I have experienced since a young girl, where everything I knew was related to this sport.
