Artist statement: My ‘Nature Orbs’ represent different types of landscapes. I was interested in translating earth, water and foliage elements into clay. The pieces were constructed in my home studio while I was isolating. Having no clay tools, I resorted to using kitchen utensils. The intense colours of nature fascinate me and I layered the glazes to achieve the opaque effects I needed.
