The subject of my painting is a very bright eyed astronaut in space with a burst of colour surrounding him. This painting is about trying to have a positive outlook on life and trying to make everything beautiful, despite personal adversity and negative feelings. I used a vibrant complementary colour scheme in an effort to appeal to a youthful audience. I think the painting is perfect in what it has become, even though it is not what I originally wanted or envisioned. I’d like to try and attempt this painting again in the future, I just want to make something new and beautiful in my own way.
