Street Invader (80cm/ 650cm), acrylic, spray paint, and Posca pen on ply board) is a nostalgic exploration of retro pop culture. Inspired by the bold energy of street artist FAT (Dimitri), this piece merges the vibrant, graphic world of pop art with urban street graffiti. Central to the work is the cartoon character Invader Zim. Growing up, I was constantly drawn to the television show’s brilliant randomness and distinct quirkiness, finding it endlessly entertaining. By channelling that childhood nostalgia into textured layers on ply board, Street Invader captures the chaotic, playful spirit of animation that shaped my upbringing. It stands as a colourful, rebellious tribute to the cartoons and artistic styles that fuelled my imagination.
