My sculptural work is based on the theme “Memento Mori”, the reminder that we are all mortal. This work is meant to look like a beautiful deer at peace in an arcadian forest, but on closer inspection the viewer realises that the animal is frozen in time.
I worked with foam clay to create the deer base and then added the skin piece by piece.
