‘Her World’ is an oil portrait of Ms Perrott, a teacher from Bob Hawke College, that is inspired by the symbolic portraiture of Western Australian artist Lori Pensini. The landscape on her shirt depicts Smeaton’s tower in Plymouth and the black cockatoos on her head reflect her love for birdwatching. By adding personal elements to this piece, I wanted to show how the places, memories and passions we value become a part of who we are and shape our identity.
