Cups and Bottles Contained is an autobiographical still life that reflects on a stage of my childhood while connecting it to my present and future. The two brightly coloured purple cups represent treasured memories, as they were my favourite cups growing up and remind me of comfort and familiarity. The clear glass bottle symbolises where I am now and the possibilities that lie ahead. I chose a tilted viewpoint to represent my unique perspective on life, suggesting that experiences and memories shape the way I see the world today.
