“Wear the Waste” explores the idea that inheritance is not only what we receive, but also what we leave behind. This wearable artwork transforms discarded high-end fashion magazines into a couture-inspired garment, challenging the culture of fast fashion, materialism and overconsumption. By repurposing pages once designed to sell luxury and desire, the work questions society’s perception of value, beauty and sustainability. Constructed from recycled magazines, satin and epoxy glue, “Wear the Waste” exposes the hidden environmental cost of consumer culture, inviting viewers to reflect on the legacy we are creating and the future we will ultimately pass on.
