Artificial Appetite explores a world increasingly shaped by mass production and synthetic experiences. The artwork depicts a young girl eating a pixelated strawberry, symbolising the growing uncertainty between what is natural and what is manufactured. The distorted fruit reflects how technology, marketing, and industrial processes can blur our understanding of authenticity, while also alluding to the hidden additives and man-made ingredients that have become embedded in modern food production. Through this imagery, the work encourages viewers to question the origins of what they consume and consider the consequences of a society becoming increasingly disconnected from the natural world.
