Held in Light is a self-portrait that explores how light can change the way we see ourselves. I used warm and cool colours to show the light and shadows across my face, creating contrast and making certain features stand out. The bright light draws attention to my expression, while the darker areas add depth and interest.
I wanted to capture a quiet moment where I seem thoughtful and calm. By looking away from the viewer, I create a sense of reflection and encourage people to wonder what I might be thinking about.
