The task set by my art teacher was to paint something that takes inspiration from classic impressionist artists, and the prompt “my moment”, which guided me to take great inspiration from the way in which Berthe Morisot painted the face in her painting “Young Girl on the Grass”. This piece is about my annual visits to Nannup Music Festival with my close family friends, and how each year creates new moments that I never forget. I have being going to this festival since I was very young, with the same people who are definitely without question, some of my favourite people in the world. Music is also something that means a lot to me, so I wanted to portray that joy that I feel when I get to see bands perform live on that huge, glowing stage.
