Beyond my love for my grandmother, I hold a deep admiration for her discipline- the way she weaves threads into intricate knots that symbolize luck and happiness. Through this work, I celebrate her involvement in folk crafts, often overlooked by fine arts and rarely given the same reverence. Watching her labour over each piece, anchoring good fortune and love into beautiful charms for our family, has left a profound impression on me. I experience joy when I come across one of her old knots tucked away in a box—each one a blend of skill, cultural heritage, and quiet affection. The knot at the heart of this piece is the panchang knot, a traditional form that folds into the shape of an infinity symbol.
