My artwork The Cost of the Race speaks of the horse racing industry and the slaughterhouses associated with them. Specifically what people are truly betting on and what happens to the horses who don’t win the race. This along with how horses are mass bred to try and create the next winner, which leads to more being killed. This piece shows three horses running in a race. The first in the lead looks very healthy, whilst the other two are extremely injured and have two men with guns pointing at them as they get to the finish line. This artwork was inspired by Banksy and how he talks about issues in the media and politics through his artwork.
