Digital Pinhole Photography
2 x: 29.7 x 21 cm each
Building on the historical roots of pinhole photography, I drew inspiration from contemporary photo artists who use this technique in a digital format. For my still life pinhole images, I used coloured filters over studio lights and the camera lens to enhance the tones and colour. In Photoshop, I adjusted the lighting using curves to refine the contrast and applied the Nik Collection’s analogue camera film filter. I repositioned the light source to cast shadows from behind, adding depth and visual interest to the composition. To further enhance the pinhole effect, I selected a film type that complemented the aesthetic. As a final touch, I added an analogue film border to evoke the look and feel of traditional pinhole photography.
