This artwork has been used to link with clown culture and the referral of myself as an unserious individual. I always try to make others happy and push as much joy towards others as I can. I try not to share other emotions that make me look vulnerable or weak. Clowns are known to bring joy and amusement, but they have been shown to use this facade as a mask for their true feelings and emotions. I have shown this mask fading into my real emotions. The emojis show the responses that I get from other individuals based on my actions and how this validation does not truly bring joy. At the crease of the lips, you can see the leading angle of the mouth tilting downwards. The lines of red clown makeup force a smile upon my portrait’s face.
