My artwork is a digital animation titled, ‘Pressure’. I have responded to the theme ‘breaking barriers’, by exploring the mental battle of maintaining my creativity and imagination as I am constantly dealing with increased school workload. The feeling it expresses is one of being overworked and losing my sense of creativity. My influences were a mix of Surrealism and animated shows stretching from the 1900s to modern day media. I was particularly interested in those that challenge or ‘break’ the way that we view the world. I hope people gain a sense of relatability to my artwork to reminisce about their childhood sense of wonder and imagination.
