Delicate Histories is about exploring the past and how it shapes us today. I used a broken blue-and-white plate with old English designs—like a horse-drawn carriage—and turned it into something new. By etching hills and trees into the cracks and splattering it with ink, I wanted to show that history isn’t always neat or perfect. Sometimes it needs to be questioned or reimagined. The broken pieces tell a story about identity, change, and nature pushing back against old traditions. This work is my way of asking: whose stories are we really telling, and what gets left out?
