Crab in a Tin explores resilience and adaptation in a world shaped by human impact. This sculpture of a hermit crab dwelling in a discarded tin can reflects how marine life is forced to repurpose our waste for survival. What might seem quirky or endearing carries a deeper urgency, oceans are increasingly polluted, and wildlife is adapting in ways that reveal the extent of environmental disruption. The tin can, an object of consumption and neglect, becomes both shelter and symbol. Through this piece, I aim to prompt reflection on our relationship with nature and the unseen consequences of pollution.
