A celebration of my connection to country—not just as land, but as a place full of meaning, beauty, and memories. ‘He has made everything beautiful in it’s time.’ Ecclesiastes 3:11, this is a promise that even though this country may look barren, that beauty comes out of it from God, the creator of all things. This painting is a testament of how God finds delight and joy in his creation. A gift to my mum, who finds joy in bright, beautiful colours. I want the viewer to feel uplifted and see the Australian landscape through an emotional and colourful lens, rather than a barren landscape that is often depicted. The bold colour choices and flowing composition show that “country” is more than a place—it’s something you carry in your heart.
