Colour markers and Paint Pen

My work explores the idea that objects have different meanings for different people. To others these may seem like randomly selected objects, but to me each has its own meaning and bring forth different, fond memories. For example, the keyboard and monitor in my artwork give me a sense of achievement as I saved up for, and built my own computer. Another example of this is the McDonald’s frappé, as this reminds me of the year I spent working at McDonald’s. And it is my favourite type of café drink. Many of these objects are by-products of previous obsessions of mine. The cards – magic, the drawing equipment – drawing, the switch console and computer – gaming, the bumblebee LEGO set – LEGO building, and the Rubik’s Cube – speedcubing.
