I created this artwork of Sir David Attenborough holding a Monarch butterfly. His documentaries deeply influenced my appreciation for nature from a young age and continue to inspire me today. The Monarch butterfly symbolises the need to gently care for our world and protect all life. I used vibrant orange for the butterfly against a monochrome Attenborough to emphasise its significance. This piece is both a tribute to Attenborough’s impact on my life and a personal expression of gratitude for his work in raising environmental awareness—something I believe is vital for both children and adults to understand and act on.
