This semester Year 10 Visual Arts students explored works of contemporary urban artists and designers. I was inspired by graffiti art, pop art, and the work of Jim Phillips a well-known Santa Cruz skate brand artist. I brought this inspiration into my skate deck design, creating an artwork filled with pop culture references and my love of Manga, the Japanese comic book style.
