Sel-Fish

My intention for this work was to depict a landscape with a difference – to reflect on contemporary environmental issues. The painting portrays a sea of rubbish surrounding a fish skeleton, with a cigarette stub placed in the mouth, incorporating irony and humour.

This cynicism reflects our society, whereby selfish behaviours degrade our planet. My intention is to highlight our current disregard for the environment and the need to preserve our precious natural landscape for future generations.
