My poster was inspired by the punk-goth band Palaye Royale, and is a digital illustration promoting the band’s up and coming world tour. I researched their history, fashion sense, album and song concepts so that I could create an authentic representation of their image and future direction. I chose to create a portrait of the lead singer, Remington Leith, wearing the band’s iconic gas mask. The illustration represents their most recent album ‘The Bastards’, which explores the themes of loneliness, fake friends and toxic relationships. My piece was painted digitally, using the program FireAlpaca. The work is deliberately expressive and was designed in a Steampunk Anime style.
